There is no place like Oxford

With 38 colleagues right next to each other, people from all over the world learn, connect and enjoy life here.

Established in 1096, Oxford is the oldest and one of the most prestigious universities in the Western world.

I have been to Oxford many times in the past 20 years since my husband is an old boy from the Harris Machester College in Oxford. Each summer, we frequented our favorite pubs, bookstores, and punt along the river Thames. It has always been a highlight of my summer holiday.

This year, we decided to stay in Oxford for a few more days and it gives me a much larger perspective of what it feels like to live in this beloved city.

The whole town of Oxford is covered by 38 colleges, it is impossible to separate the "town" from the "gown". Everywhere you walk, you can feel an appreciation of education in the air. There is beauty in every corner you turn.

The highlight this summer for me is meeting Amana here from Hong Kong. He introduced me to the Department of Continued Education courses that Oxford offers. I am interested in so many of them, in particular, Humanitarianism and Conflict in the Modern World.

We spend a day visiting the Ashmolean Museum and then visiting libraries and listened to the Evening songs at the Christ Church. How wonderful would it be to live here! We joked about moving to Oxford one day.

Question: Which city in the world made you feel the most playful, connected, and in your element?
