Transform life and business in 3 simple steps: Unfeeze, Change, Refreeze.

Change management is the heart of the transformed agile ecosystem.
Step 1: UNFREEZE
Recognise, accept and let go of the belief that doesn't serve you anymore.
A particular belief may come from the past, and yet it doesn't serve you anymore. Recognise it, own it, and let it go.
For example, I used to have a fear of driving because I haven't driven very much since I passed my driving test in Canada nearly 30 years ago. I used to belief that I was not good at driving and I let other people drive me around, or simply preferred to take public transportation. It was fine for me when I lived in cities like London, Beijing and Hong Kong where public transportation are convenient and driving skills are not essential.
Step 2: CHANGE
Instead, choose a new belief that serves you.
When I studied in the UK in 2014 - 2016, my son also attended a boarding school in a rural area in the Midlands . I needed to drive him to boarding school because public transportation was not a viable option. I quickly adapted to the UK road system though my past driving experience was mostly from Canada.
In 2020, our whole family relocated to a beautiful town call Llangollen in the North Wales. We live in the Town Centre near all the shops and I work from home. Tenically, there is no need for me to drive, however, I decided to have my own car so that I can keep my driving alive. I belief that my driving skills are good enough to manuvre everywhere I need to go though driving to other big cities such as Manchester and London feels daunting to me.
Step 3: REFREEZE
Behave in a way that reinforces the new belief.
2 days ago, my husband and I are going to London. Normally, he would be doing most of the driving and I may help him drive part of the journey. However, he suddenly felt ill and asked me to drive instead.
I drove all the way to London from North Wales for the very first time. My driving skills are actually better than I thought and I actually enjoyed the driving experience and felt quite relaxed about it.
This new experience makes me look forward to the summer months ahead when I can explore more places in the UK and enjoy my freedom.
